K. Sherrod writes speculative fiction for readers who finished Dark Matter in one sitting and immediately wanted to know what else was correcting itself around them - including, maybe, the place they work.

Their novels are built on a single premise: beneath the institutions people spend their careers inside, there is a mechanism older than the organization itself - one that maintains equilibrium the way thermodynamics does, without judgment, without mercy, and without noticing who it catches in the adjustment. Their protagonists are never outside investigators. They are insiders - the ones who know the workflow, the rhythms, the people who hold the real authority - right up until they discover the system was never theirs to understand in the first place.
